Marketing Manchester's Destination Marketing Team prioritises and implements worldwide marketing activity to deliver tourism (leisure and business) into the Manchester area.
Through the important Gateway project, activity is focused on key international markets, promoting Manchester as an international Gateway to the UK and onward into Europe. The team works in partnership with the travel trade, including airlines, and industry partners to target identified audiences aiming to increase the intent to travel and trips to Manchester.
The type of activity delivered includes marketing campaigns, exhibitions (consumer and trade) and sales missions, consumer advertising and distribution, familiarisation/educational visits and press and PR.
Conference & Incentive
Manchester is recognised as a leading business destination and is rated in the world's top 60 most successful conference destinations (ICCA). A programme of activity is directed towards building this profile and increasing UK and international conference and incentive business into Manchester and the surrounding area.
