Prime Minister Praises Manchester After Conference Success

Located in the stunning Town Hall extension in St Peter’s Square, the city centre TIC welcomes over 20,000 visitors per month. Visitors can pick up information on events and concerts at all of the city’s arts venues or book tickets for performances, accommodation and National Express Coaches. Specially trained staff have a highly detailed knowledge of the area and can direct visitors to almost any building, business or landmark within the city centre. The TIC team also field up to 4,000 calls per month from the public wishing to be sent information on Manchester through the post.
The TIC also has a fully stocked gift shop, including items such as greeting cards, souvenirs, books and craft objects created local artists. A new range of corporate gifts and children’s gifts will also hit the shelves in 2005.
Behind the scenes, a team also fields upwards of 4,000 calls per month and takes care of requests for information on the city and its offerings by post.
